RP Scherer began to manufacture paintballs as early as 1972. Back in the day, the paintball industry was strictly business as paintballs were used primarily by the forest industry to mark trees. Premium paintballs served as our staple until 1991 when we decided to expand into the European market with the specialized Euro-flite paintballs. From there things just snowballed. We released Marballizer in 1992, Premium Gold and Polar Ice in 1994, All-Star in 1998, El' Tigre in 2000, Slam in 2001 and the latest product to be released is the awesome new RPS Lightning debuting in 2002. We have kept on top of the industry with our commitment to quality and our cutting-edge products and will continue to do so. We are constantly formulating faster, brighter, straighter balls. RPS paintballs are manufactured at the PMI/RPS paintball manufacturing facility in Clearwater Florida. The quality of paintballs manufactured in the facility on the RPS machines is legendary. RPS, the initials which stand for R.P. Scherer, is now used as the abbreviated identity for the brand of paintballs manufactured and exclusively distributed by PMI.
